yea, could be either one, or just time... I'd try to get the room temp up to 70 and give it some more time. Hard to taste test when using 1/2 gallon jugs's but maybe a squeeze of the jug would tell if the carbonation has built up. 2 - 4 weeks is not unheard of, even as much as 6 weeks.

I think it was probably a combination of temp being a little on the cool side and not enough time. I got pretty anxious to try my first beer, so I jumped the gun a little bit. I'm also going to try to use smaller bottles next time. the 1/2 gallon jugs make it a little bit more complicated, at least for me at this point.

I just finished bottling my second batch of Mr. Beer beer, a pale ale I've dubbed 6Q Pale Ale. My Leitrim's Irish Red Ale will be ready to drink this weekend and I'll be sure to have a full review with pictures up here. I'm so excited.
Next up: Sunrise Wheat (a lemon wheat beer) and Buccaneer IPA (speaks for itself).

i just finished my first batch from mr. beer. it was really good, considering it was my first home brew. it didnt have that distinct IPA bitterness, but it tasted better than miller & co.
sure, it doesnt have the craft of true home brewing, and that i recognize, but i think Mr. Beer is a nice simple version. less chance of poisoning, too.
